Words that sit on the wall for a month
A quote on a calendar is read many times, simply because people look at the dates. This design reserves a green panel beside the grid for your own words: a line from a poem you like, a business motto, a bible verse, a family saying or a team goal.
What to fill in
- Month and year drop-downs.
- Quote text and author name. If it is your own sentence, put your name or leave the author blank.
- Logo, email, phone and mobile to print along the bottom edge.
Choosing a quote
Short quotes of about fifteen to twenty-five words fit the panel best. Check the spelling and attribute famous quotes correctly; if you are not sure who said something, it is better to write the sentence yourself than to credit the wrong person. Use quotes from public-domain works or your own writing for calendars you sell.
Business uses
A florist, driving school or accountant can print twelve of these, each with a different tip or thought and the same logo, and hand them to customers. The green colour keeps the page calm and professional.
A message that changes with the month
Printing the same calendar twelve times is dull; changing one line of text makes each month feel new. A shop can greet customers with a seasonal thought, a classroom can post a value for the month such as patience or teamwork, and a manager can open each month with a team motto. The green frame sets the quote apart from the dates, so it can be read from across a room.
The quote and author boxes
Type the words in the Inspirational Quote box and the name in Author Name. Under about twenty words the quote stays comfortable in the frame; a long passage shrinks and gets hard to read. If the words are your own, put your business name in the author box or a label such as Our Promise. Quotation marks are not needed because the frame already marks the text as a quote.
Using the logo and contact space
The logo upload and the contact details turn the sheet into a small piece of advertising for a dentist, a tutor or a garage. Use a logo with a transparent or white background so it blends into the green. Print a proof and read the contact lines carefully, because customers copy phone numbers straight from the wall.
