Create Do Not Stack Label

A clear do-not-stack instruction with an original crossed-stack illustration, optional note and codes for package identification.

Use this supplementary sticker when your prepared package should not have other boxes placed on top. The large fixed message keeps the instruction direct, while a short note can add context for your own storage or receiving process. It does not establish a load rating or guarantee a particular handling service.

Keep the top of this package clear

A clear do-not-stack instruction with an original crossed-stack illustration, optional note and codes for package identification.

4 × 3 inches   /   QR + Code 128   /   A4 and Letter sheets
01   Format and appearance

Sheets repeat the same label and include cut marks. These are plain-paper layouts, not a claim of compatibility with pre-cut label stock. Print at Actual size / 100%.

02   Sender and destination
03   Package details
04   What should the codes contain?

The barcode uses your reference (up to 16 letters, numbers, dots, slashes, hyphens or underscores). If blank, a stable internal ID is derived from your supplied label details. It is not a carrier tracking number.

A custom QR value is limited to 120 UTF-8 bytes. It is encoded locally, never fetched or shortened. Leave it blank to make both codes contain the same reference.

This is a supplementary packaging instruction, not a postage label. Preview your data and test-scan a printed code before using a batch.

Give the instruction a real reason to be there

The do-not-stack message should reflect how the actual package needs to be handled. A concise note such as "Leave the top clear during storage" can explain the request without inventing a technical specification. The template does not assess the strength of the carton or determine how much weight it could support. Use packaging and arrangements suited to the contents, and communicate any service requirement through the appropriate process. A visible sticker can help a handler notice the instruction, but it is not a substitute for deciding how the goods will be stored or transported.

Check the view after loading and wrapping

A label that is clear on an empty box may be hidden after the package is wrapped or grouped with other goods. Choose a location that remains visible without blocking the address, reference or required carrier markings. If several identical stickers are used, make sure all describe the same package accurately. Keep old stacking instructions from a reused box from contradicting the current message. For business movements, the note can identify a receiving instruction, but a longer storage plan belongs in your own documentation rather than in a tiny label paragraph.

A clear-top package check

  • Confirm the instruction fits the current package.
  • Use appropriate packaging and handling arrangements.
  • Place the heading where it stays visible.
  • Check reused boxes for conflicting old labels.
  • Retain a separate destination and carrier label.

Link the warning to an internal record when useful

A package reference can connect the sticker with an item or dispatch record your team already keeps. Both code formats can carry the same value, or you can select no codes for a simple instruction. A custom QR is just another text or URL payload; it does not calculate stacking limits, certify the package or create a special transport instruction with a carrier.

The generator creates QR codes and Code 128 barcodes locally. Both use your reference by default; optional custom QR text can instead contain your own short URL or text. A blank reference produces a stable internal ID derived from the submitted label details. These are your identifiers, not official carrier tracking numbers. The tool does not buy postage, reserve a shipment or send the encoded data to a code-generation service.

Print a visible instruction, not a miniature warning

The supplied design is 4 by 3 inches. Use its exact-size PDF or repeated landscape A4/Letter copies rather than shrinking an entire sheet to fit a label roll. Actual-size output preserves the icon and code proportions. Test one physical print, check the short note at normal reading distance and scan any enabled code after trimming. The outside cut marks are not part of the final sticker. Keep the code margins white and clear, and assess the label material separately for your storage conditions.

Do-not-stack label questions

Does this state a maximum stacking weight?
No. It is a general instruction to keep the top clear, not a load-rating calculation or certified packaging specification. Determine the appropriate packaging and handling arrangements for the actual goods.

Can I use the sticker without codes?
Yes. Choose No codes to keep only the fixed illustration, main message and your short note. Code options are available when a package reference helps your own handling records.
