Create Compact Parcel Address Label
A compact 4 by 2-inch label that puts sender and recipient side by side, with a lower code area for small boxes and padded mailers.
Small packaging needs a clear hierarchy rather than miniature versions of every possible field. This horizontal design uses a narrow sender column, a wider destination column and concise reference details. It is intended for parcels with enough flat space for the complete label, including the code margins.

Short labels need complete addresses
Use the recipient column for delivery details and keep the sender column brief but meaningful. Write the address in a familiar postal form, including the street number and postal code. Do not remove an essential address element just to make a long message fit; the short note and decorative wording are less important than delivery information. If the destination needs many lines, compare the preview with the larger standard label before choosing your final format. The size should suit the real address, not force the address into an unreadable corner.
Choose the package surface before printing
A compact label still needs a smooth, visible area. Do not plan to wrap its code around a curved edge or across a seam. Check the available surface with a paper test, especially on padded envelopes that change shape when filled. This form creates one recipient at a time, and the sheet option repeats that label rather than importing an address list. When preparing several orders, generate and check each PDF in turn so two similar customer names do not get mixed during packing.
A small-parcel fit check
- Measure the flat label area on the filled package.
- Check the destination at normal reading distance.
- Keep every required address element.
- Choose the larger format if the preview feels cramped.
- Test a code on the actual printed small label.
Keep the reference short on a compact card
The sixteen-character reference limit helps the linear barcode stay practical within this smaller format. A short existing order number is preferable to a long sentence. If your QR code carries custom text, favour a concise address or phrase and test it after printing. QR and barcode choices are independent: use one code if that is all your process needs.
The generator creates QR codes and Code 128 barcodes locally. Both use your reference by default; optional custom QR text can instead contain your own short URL or text. A blank reference produces a stable internal ID derived from the submitted label details. These are your identifiers, not official carrier tracking numbers. The tool does not buy postage, reserve a shipment or send the encoded data to a code-generation service.
Know the difference between size and sheet compatibility
The label itself is exactly 4 by 2 inches. That does not mean its A4 or Letter sheet automatically matches a particular brand of pre-cut stock. Use a plain-paper test to compare any adhesive sheet you already own, or trim the repeated layout from ordinary suitable paper. In the printer driver, select the matching single-label size or landscape sheet size and turn off fit-to-page. Check alignment again if you change printers or paper trays.
Compact parcel label answers
Is this an Avery 5163 sheet template?
No. The individual label shares a 4 by 2-inch size, but the repeated sheets use this collection's own cut-mark layout. Do not assume it matches a branded pre-cut grid without comparing the actual spacing.
What if my address is too long?
The renderer reduces text to fit its designated area. If the result becomes too small for comfortable reading, shorten only unnecessary wording or choose the larger 4 by 6-inch address label instead.
