Create Gift Parcel Shipping Label
A gift-friendly parcel label with a clear delivery address, optional short greeting and a reference for keeping gifts organised.
A parcel can feel thoughtful before it is opened. This label gives the gift a welcoming heading while keeping the recipient and address practical. Use a brief personal note, identify the sender as you prefer and leave enough clarity for someone receiving the parcel on the recipient's behalf.

A greeting should support the surprise
Keep the note warm and short: "A little something to brighten your day" works without revealing the contents. If the present is a surprise, consider whether the sender name, package heading or printed message gives more away than you intend. The address still needs the real recipient and delivery details. For a gift going to an office or shared building, use the recipient name that reception will recognise. Do not replace an essential name with a nickname that only the giver understands. You can make the message personal while keeping the destination unambiguous.
Keep several presents from becoming several mysteries
A gift reference is useful when preparing packages for more than one person or occasion. Assign a short value that matches your own gift list, rather than putting sensitive personal notes inside a code. Check the message and destination together before attaching the label; swapping two beautifully wrapped parcels is easy when the packaging looks alike. If you want a longer greeting, include it inside the package or in your accompanying message. This label's short note is not intended to replace an entire letter or a carrier delivery instruction process.
A gift-sender's final check
- Use a delivery name the receiving household will recognise.
- Check that the note belongs to this recipient.
- Avoid revealing a surprise unintentionally.
- Keep the full address and postal code intact.
- Match the gift reference to your own list.
Choose what a gift recipient should discover by scanning
Leave the QR field blank for a simple gift reference, or enter your own short public greeting-page URL. A QR does not create that page or protect its contents. Avoid encoding private messages you would not want another person handling the parcel to see. The barcode continues to carry the reference so your packing list can remain consistent.
The generator creates QR codes and Code 128 barcodes locally. Both use your reference by default; optional custom QR text can instead contain your own short URL or text. A blank reference produces a stable internal ID derived from the submitted label details. These are your identifiers, not official carrier tracking numbers. The tool does not buy postage, reserve a shipment or send the encoded data to a code-generation service.
Print a label that fits the wrapping plan
The full design is 4 by 6 inches and should be placed on a flat visible surface rather than across decorative folds. If the wrapping is smaller, consider the compact parcel layout instead of shrinking this PDF until its codes become difficult to scan. The sheet options repeat the same gift details, which is useful for duplicate copies but not for several recipients at once. Print at actual size, check the note on a physical sample and leave the black-on-white code areas clear. The website preview branding is not included on the finished gift label.
Gift parcel label questions
Can I keep the contents a surprise?
Yes. Use a neutral greeting and avoid describing the present in the note or QR contents. The template does not add a contents description automatically; you choose what personal information appears.
Can a QR open a personal greeting?
It can contain a URL for a greeting you already host elsewhere. The label generator encodes that URL but does not create a greeting page, send a message or control who can open the destination.
